ACADEMIC MIDDLE COLLEGE
The Academic Middle College is our premier accelerated pathway, offered in partnership with Mississippi Delta Community College. Designed for motivated students who are ready to embrace the rigors of higher education while still in high school, this program allows participants to attend college and high school simultaneously. Our goal is for these students to walk across the graduation stage twice: once to receive their high school diploma and once to receive their Associate Degree, giving them a two-year head start on their future.
CTE MIDDLE COLLEGE
For seniors looking to jumpstart a high-demand career, the CTE Middle College provides specialized technical training through our partnership with Mississippi Delta Community College. This pathway focuses on Career and Technical Education, allowing students to spend their senior year gaining hands-on expertise in various trades. Upon completion, students earn National Certifications, ensuring they are "workforce ready" the moment they graduate and can step directly into high-paying, skilled positions within our region and beyond.
TRADITIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Our Traditional High School pathway remains a cornerstone of WLSD, offering a robust and comprehensive education that prepares students for a variety of post-secondary options. Through our innovative 4x4 block scheduling, students have more time for elective exploration, advanced coursework, and personalized instruction. This pathway ensures a well-rounded experience, blending core academic excellence with the extracurricular and social growth that defines the high school experience.
WORK-BASED LEARNING
At Western Line, we believe every student deserves a clear path to a productive future. Our Work-Based Learning program, hosted at the Capps Center, provides essential opportunities for students in the High School Equivalency Program (HSEP) and those who may not currently meet traditional college entrance requirements. This pathway prioritizes practical, real-world skills and job-site experience, bridging the gap between the classroom and the workforce to ensure all students leave our district with a plan for success.
